Armaggan

The 16th-century Ottoman Palace Fabrics are some of the most magnificent in the world, and after analyzing the techniques and dyestuffs used in their production, Armaggan is recreating them, employing the exact same techniques, designs and dyes as those used in the 16th century. Armaggan is the only brand that has made successful reproductions of these historical fabrics.

Reproduction of Ottoman silk brocades are woven with the original mechanic Jacquard looms.

The products are dyed with madder (Rubia tinctorum L.), cochineal (Dactylopius coccus Costa), dyer’s rocket (Reseda luteola L.), indigo (Isatis tinctoria or Indigofera tinctoria L.), dyer’s oak (Quercus infectoria) and dyestuffs obtained from many other plants.
